Blair Williams, 77, Shubert, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at the Falls City Care Center.
The son of William C. L. Williams and Idabel Gibson Williams, he was born April 15, 1924, at Stella. He was raised on a farm northwest of Shubert and graduated from Shubert High School.
Mr. Williams served in the Navy during World War II, from Feb. 14, 1944, to Oct. 12, 1945.
He married Janis Clark on Nov. 13, 1947, at Lincoln. The couple established their home on the family farm when married and continued to farm until retiring in 1965. They continued to live there until moving to Shubert in 1991.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Prairie Union Baptist Church, rural Shubert, and American Legion Post #102 in Falls City.
He is survived by his wife, Janis; a daughter, Mary Ann Williams, Kansas City, Mo., and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Williams and Jeanette Bright.
The body of Mr. Williams has been cremated. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Stella Cemetery with Pastor Byford Lockard officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.
The Dorr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
