Bonifaz Kohlbecker and ancestors

Bonifaz Kohlbecker was the father of Aurelia Kohlbecker who was the mother of Carl Theodor Schmidt who was the father of Harold Arthur Schmidt who was the grandfather of Curt Bright.

I am confident that the following records are accurate, but I can’t guarantee that these are my actual ancestors. I have not had an opportunity to verify this information with other sources.  However, nothing here jumps out as questionable. – Curt

Records from “Germany Marriages 1558-1929” show that Bonifaz Kohlbecker married Caecilia Jung on January 5, 1852, in Katholisch, Rotenfels, Baden, Baden.

The same marriage record lists Bonifaz’s parents as Lukas Kohlbecker (b 1796) and Susanna Schaefer (b 1800). Caecilia’s parents are listed as Edmund Jung and Anna Maria Schick.

According to “Germany Marriages 1558-1929,” Edmund Jung (b 1797) married Maria Anna Schick (b 1798) on January 22, 1821, in Rotenfels, Baden, Germany.

Edmund’s mother is listed as Theresia Jung. I can only wonder why Edmund’s father is not listed. Maria Anna’s parents are listed as Joseph Schick and Maria Anna Bauer.

Records from “Germany Marriages 1588-1929” show that Lucas Kohlbecker married Susana Schafer on January 22, 1821, in Rotenfels, Baden, Germany.
Lucas’ parents are listed as Anton Kohlbecker and Barbara Gorig. Susana’s parents are listed as Joseph Schafer and Maria Anna Merkel.

Records from “Germany Marriages 1588-1929” show that Josephus Schafer married Maria Anna Merkel on January 21, 1782, in Rothenfels, Baden, Germany.

Josephus’ parents are listed as Joannis Georgii Schafer and Barbarae Maier. Maria Anna’s parents are listed as Antonii Merkel and Catharinae Klump.

According to “Germany Marriages 1558-1929,” Antonius Merckel married Catharina Klump on November 6, 1744 in Rotenfels, Baden, Germany.

Catharina’s father is listed as Martini Klump.
